Biography

Cristina Maggiora studied design and metalsmithing at the Cleveland Institute of Art from 1979 to 1984.

In 1986 she moved to New York City to work in the fashion industry, designing a jewelry collection represented by LP Studio, 5th Ave, and for the studio of Donna Karan and Rober Lee Morris Jewelry, selling her work to Nordstrom, Lord & Taylor, Barney's NY, I Magnin, Fortunoff and many other well known retailers, boutiques and galleries.

In the late 90's she took off for a new, more bohemian life, traveling and becoming involved in Permaculture design and off the grid living. Her interests also turned to the mobile and fascinating world of lap top computers and web design.

The lap top has become her travel companion in this new life, mostly divided between Northen New
Mexico and Ohio.
